Welcome to the Governors' Page

The Governing Body of Thorpe Hall comprises a total of 17 governors. Six parents, three Local Education Authority, five staff and three community governors.

Full governing body meetings occur generally every six weeks during the school year and these are supplemented by committee meetings as well. Sub Committees of the governing body are:

Salaries
Personnel
Premises
Curriculum
Performance Management

The Governors also have a discipline committee that deals with appeals regarding exclusion or personnel issues.

With the exception of the headteacher, staff governors are elected for a term of 2 years, all other governors are elected for a 4 year term.

Copies of the minutes of non confidential governors meetings are available from the school with appropriate notice.
